Write for us
Curious City Journal welcomes well-focused pitches about how urban places are shaped, used and understood. We are interested in clear explanations that help readers notice something specific about a street, building, public space or city pattern.
What to pitch
Send a distinct idea grounded in a clear question: for example, how a particular kind of street feature guides movement, why public spaces use different layouts, or what a visible city pattern can reveal about its history. We favour evergreen subjects that do not depend on statistics, professional advice or claims of firsthand testing.
What makes a strong proposal
Tell us the working title, the central point, the category it might fit and why a general reader would find the subject useful or revealing. Include a short outline and note any sources or specialist input the piece would need. Please pitch one specific article rather than a broad subject area.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial enquiry option. Do not submit a complete article unless we have requested one. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may edit accepted work for accuracy, length and clarity.
